It seems that we live in a culture now where our time is just drawn from us. We're pulled in a thousand different directions and a lot of times that's just necessary. It's just a part of the life we live right now. It's part of our culture.
If you're a mom with five kids under the age of six or if you're working a job and a half to try to put food on the table and you're serving in your church or maybe at work you have a particularly very heavy time that's just a part of your life. What do you do to keep God central in your focus?
Well, I think at the top of the list, it has to be prayer. The Apostle Paul gave a very simple solution. He said, pray at all times. And so I would say that the busier you are, the more you need to be in prayer. And it might be broken up into smaller chunks, but you need to have the discipline to track that I am praying, I'm checking in with my God day after day after day. And then he'll give you the strength to do those things until you come to a moment where you can breathe.
